The Vetting Standard

Four checks, every contractor.

Each contractor is checked against the same four points before they can take work through Marine Connect.

Licence checks. Where the work requires a licence, such as electrical work, we verify it with the issuing authority before the contractor goes live.
Insurance sighted, expiry tracked. We sight the public liability certificate and log its expiry date, so cover is checked again when the policy renews.
ABN verification. We check the ABN is active, so you know the work is done by a registered business or sole trader.
References. We contact two trade references before a contractor is approved.
